Humboldt County Iowa

     School Elections will be held in Humboldt County on September 9, 2008.  Registration for the School Election may be done in the Humboldt County Auditor's Office at the Courthouse in Dakota City, Iowa, until 5:00 p.m. August 29, 2008.

      Humboldt County residents may register to vote through the mail rather than registering in person in the Humboldt County Auditor's Office, but the Voter Registration form must be postmarked no later than August 25, 2008.  Registration forms are available in each of the post offices in the County.

     Absentee Ballots are now available in the Humboldt County Auditor's Office for registered voters who will not be able to get to the polls during the School Election to be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2008.  Absentee voting can also be done by mail by filling out an absentee ballot request form from the Humboldt County Auditor's Office or by downloading the form from the Auditor's page.  The deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to you is September 5, 2008.
