Community Services is the county department that deals with the social services needs of county residents.  The needs may be related to service needs for persons with disabilities, emergency financial assistance, or substance abuse.

The department provides the following:

Ø  Central Point of Coordination

For service needs and funding for persons with mental

illness, mental retardation, or other developmental

disabilities.

Ø  Targeted Case Management

Provides assessment, referral and coordination services

for persons with disabilities.

Ø  General Assistance

Provides temporary or emergency financial assistance

to residents who are indigent or in a crisis.

Ø  Substance Abuse

Funding for indigent persons needing detoxification.

Ø  Money Management

Provides trained volunteers offering money management

assistance to elderly persons or persons with disabilities.

Ø  Drop-In Center

Provides an opportunity for socialization for people

with disabilities.
