Veterans Affairs: 

The Code of Iowa requires that each county in Iowa have a Veterans Affairs office.  This program serves veterans who are residents of the state, who served in the armed forces of the United States as set out in the Code of Iowa, and who were discharged under honorable conditions.  The Commission of Veterans Affairs determines eligibility and assistance given to veterans.  We assist all veterans with accessing the services and benefits available to them.
