The Board of Supervisors of Humboldt County, Iowa met at 8:30 a.m. on the 14th day of December, 2009 with the following members present: Mattes, Hett, Haverly and Hansen. Absent: Christianson.

Moved by Mattes and seconded by Hett to approve the agenda for the December 14, 2009 Board meeting. All voting aye.

Moved by Haverly and seconded by Mattes to approve the minutes of the December 7, 2009 Board meeting. All voting aye.

Chairman Hansen opened the meeting up for public concerns. No one was present to speak so the Board continued on with their regular meeting.

Moved by Haverly and seconded by Hett to approve claims in the amount of $221,089.43 and Drainage claims in the amount of $67,721.41 as per attached schedule and the County Auditor be and hereby is instructed to issue warrants on the several funds as allowed in the amount specified in payment of same.

All voting aye.

Moved by Hett and seconded by Haverly to approve extra work order #1 to Weidemann, Inc. for Project #LC-273370 in the amount of $2,013.50. All voting aye.

Moved by Mattes and seconded by Haverly to approve Voucher #3 to Weidemann, Inc. for work completed on Project #LC-273370 in the amount of $2,282.10. All voting aye.

Moved by Haverly and seconded by Hett to approve the hire of Brian Helmers as a temporary/part time Secondary Road worker effective December 7, 2009 at the rate of $15.00/hr. All voting aye.
